Bagnaia Returns To Victory In Catalan Grand Prix

After crashing out in Saturday’s sprint race on the final lap, reigning MotoGP champion Francesco Bagnaia earned redemption in the Catalan Grand Prix.

Bagnaia reeled leader Jorge Martin in with six laps to go, eventually overtaking the Pramac rider. Bagnaia scampered off to a 1.740-second victory at the finish line.

Marc Marquez placed third at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya after starting deep in the field in 14th. Marquez was followed by Aleix Espargaro and Fabio Di Giannantonio.

Trackhouse Racing’s Raul Fernandez placed sixth, while teammate Miguel Oliveira claimed 10th.

The victory vaults Bagnaia back to second in the standings, 39 points behind Martin.
