Martin Extends Points Lead With French GP Win

After dominating the sprint race on Saturday, MotoGP points leader Jorge Martin romped to victory in Sunday’s French Grand Prix.

Martin started on pole, however, trailed reigning champion Francesco Bagnaia.

That was, until the 21st lap when Martin made his move for the lead and ultimately the win. While Bagnaia stayed close, Marc Marquez snagged the runner-up spot on the final lap as Bagnaia placed third.

Trackhouse Racing’s Raul Fernandez finished 11th while teammate Miguel Oliveira failed to complete the event.

Martin holds a 38-point advantage in the standings over Bagnaia.
