Barnes Claims Florence Icebreaker

TIMMONSVILLE, S.C. — Doug Barnes Jr. claimed victory in Saturday afternoon’s Icebreaker 125 super late model event at Florence Motor Speedway.

Barnes led the majority of the race, but lost the point to Matt Cox with 39 laps remaining. Undeterred, Barnes fought his way back to the front of the field on lap 102 and led the remainder of the distance.

Connor Hall finished second, but was disqualified when his car was too light during post-race inspection.

Kaden Honeycutt inherited second, with Mason Diaz, Cox and Brenan Queen rounding out the top five.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. finished 17th.
