Advance Auto Celebrates Berlin Raceway

RALEIGH, N.C. — Advance Auto Parts, entitlement sponsor of the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series, is celebrating Berlin Raceway and its race fans with an action-packed evening of entertainment on Saturday night.

The night kicks off at 6 p.m. with a prerace performance by Warner Nashville singer/songwriter Tucker Beathard. Following the performance, Berlin’s weekly racing divisions hit the track for a night of wheel-to-wheel action. The evening concludes with post-race fireworks, presented by Advance Auto Parts.

Race fans may visit their local Advance store in the Grand Rapids area to receive up to two free tickets to fan appreciation night.

The celebration punctuates Berlin’s win in Advance’s race fan-driven Advance My Track Challenge, which encouraged fans to vote for their favorite NASCAR home track across the U.S. and Canada.

Berlin won $50,000, which the team plans to use for facility enhancements and community-based programming, including launching its own nonprofit.

“Race fans in Michigan are incredibly passionate about grassroots racing, and we were impressed by their support of Berlin Raceway throughout the Advance My Track Challenge program,” said Jason McDonell, Advance’s executive vice president of merchandising, marketing and E-commerce. “We applaud Berlin’s team on their plans to reinvest program winnings back into their facility and community. We look forward to joining the track team and race fans for a memorable Saturday night at the races.”

“We are incredibly honored to welcome the team from Advance Auto Parts to the Berlin Raceway,” said Jeff Striegle, Berlin Raceway’s general manager. “We are grateful for the accomplishment but even more so, that Advance provided such a unique opportunity for short tracks across the country. This Saturday we will celebrate together with the race fans that made this opportunity a reality.”

The Advance My Track Challenge began March 24, with 22 NASCAR home tracks represented in the program’s first round of voting. Fans voted up to three times daily in the first round, which concluded April 27.

The six tracks receiving the most fan votes – including Berlin Raceway – were part of the final round of voting, which took place May 9-10. Berlin was announced as the winning track on May 12.
