The 2020 Florida Winternationals kicked off with defending World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series defending champion Brad Sweet driving the Kasey Kahne Racing No. 49 to victory in the Ollie‘s Bargain Outlet All Star Circuit of Champions presented by Mobil 1 season-opener at Volusia Speedway Park on February 5. But it was the All Stars‘ defending champion, Aaron Reutzel, that claimed the series‘ finale at the Barberville oval.0

Ten-time Outlaws champion Donny Schatz took the checkers in the WoO season-opener the next night at Volusia. Sweet took his second Florida checkers the next evening at Volusia to earn his first WoO victory in his bid to defend his title this season. Logan Schuchart led all but one lap in the Shark Racing No. 1s on his way to victory in the Volusia Outlaws finale. Following three podium finishes in a row, Sweet was awarded the Big Gator. It was his second time earning the trophy — he earned his first in 2016.
