WARRENSBURG, Mo. – Aaron Marrant topped the Malvern Bank Super Late Model Series’ first visit to Central Missouri Speedway on Saturday night.
Bill Leighton and Tad Pospisil claimed the front row for the 30-lap main event. A series of caution flags waved before lap five as the drivers worked to settle into a race rhythm. A long green flag period then went by as Leighton held on to the lead as Marrant closed in on the leader.
Through lapped traffic and with 10 laps remaining, Marrant grabbed the lead for the first time over Leighton, with Tad Pospisil, Kyle Berck and Jake Neal inside the top five.
Marrant held the lead until a late-race caution with two laps remaining bunched the field for a green-white-checkered finish.
In the end, Marrant pulling into victory lane victory. Leighton was second followed by Wyman, Berck and Neal.
Neal, Jason O’Brien, Leighton and Tad Pospisil topped the heat races. The B-Main went to Zach Zeitner.
Other winners on Saturday night at Central Missouri Speedway included Rodney Sanders in A-Mods, Patrick Royalty in B-Mods, Dillon Raffurty in Mod-Lites and Brett Wood in Street Stocks.
