Lanigan Tops Weiss At Eldora

ROSSBURG, Ohio — Darrell Lanigan turned in an impressive performance in a Dirt Late Model Dream shakedown during Sunday’s Johnny Appleseed Classic at Eldora Speedway.

Lanigan was the fast qualifier in the 27-car field with a 14.981-second lap of the legendary half-mile dirt track.

Lanigan started fourth in the 30-lap main event and beat World of Outlaws regular Ricky Weiss to the checkered flag.

Scott James, Freddie Carpenter and Devin Moran rounded out the top five.

In modified action, David Stremme picked up the elusive first Eldora victory over a strong field of stars.

Jordan Conover went back-to-back in the Super Stock division with his win over Rob Trent.
