BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Buddy Shepherd won Sunday’s Bulwark/ TenCate October Classic 135 for the SRL Southwest Tour Series at Kern County Raceway.
Sheppard grabbed the lead from Dan Holtz on a restart on lap 128 and led the final six laps for his third career victory in the series.
Holtz finished second, with Austin Herzog third. Cody Dempster finished fourth.
Jacob Gomes secured his third SRL Southwest Tour championship with a fifth-place finish.
Dylan Zampa, Jake Bollman, Nickolas Cooper, John Moore and Cassidy Hinds rounded out the top five.
Sean Woodside won the pro late model event that was also on the October Classic weekend card, while Linny White wrapped up the pro late model championship.
