Trophy Cup Adjusts Entry Plan

TULARE, Calif. – With the entire racing world on hold, the 27th annual Abreu Vineyards presented by Rudeen Racing Trophy Cup will delay sending entry forms to the teams that competed last year.

Normally the forms are mailed May 1, but this year it will be Sept. 1 before the entries are sent. The priority entry paperwork must be returned by Sept. 30.

Starting Oct. 1, entries will be accepted from teams that did not compete last year. Entries will be accepted until Oct. 10 or when there are 110 entries, whichever comes first.  Entries will not be accepted after Oct. 10 or at the pit gate.

The $200,000 event for winged 360 sprint cars will guarantee the champion $27,000 for accumulating the highest point total. Thunderbowl Raceway in Tulare, Calif., hosts the event on Oct. 15-17, with all 24 A-main event cars on Saturday guaranteed a minimum of $5,000 for the three days combined.
