CHICO, Calif. — Shane Golobic banked $4,000 for winning the Platinum Cup for 360 sprint cars on night two of the Gold Cup Race of Champions at Silver Dollar Speedway.
Golobic started the No. 17w sprint car on the pole, but had to pass early leader Colby Copeland midway through the 40-lap event to take control.
Golobic held off Willie Croft on the quarter-mile oval to claim the victory.
Copeland, Justin Sanders and Kyle Hirst rounded out the top five.
