MARNE, Mich. — Tyler Roahrig started Saturday night’s 500 Sprint Car Tour presented by Auto Value Bumper to Bumper Parts Stores feature at Berlin Raceway in the eighth starting position.
He took control of the race by lap 12 and won in dominant fashion for his second series win of the season.
Roahrig was also the night’s fastest qualifier (15.507) and started eighth due to the 8-inversion number. He would take the feature victory by 7.424 seconds over second place finisher Kyle O’Gara, Kody Swanson, Taylor Ferns and Dakoda Armstrong.
It was Roahrig’s fourth series victory at Berlin Raceway dating back to 2022.
“We came here last year for the first race and tried something totally different because Kody (Swanson) beat me so badly the night before at Plymouth,” Roahrig said. “What we did worked, and it’s been good here ever since.
“It was a good race but pretty uneventful. I was kind of watching the scoreboard and could see who was in second. It didn’t seem like anyone was really moving through the top 5. I just made sure I didn’t do anything crazy like run one of the tires off or anything. I just tried to be as smooth as I could,” concluded Roahrig.
The finish:
