New Leader In National Sprint Rankings Is Larson

CONCORD, N.C. – With three more victories during Cometic Gasket Ohio Sprint Speedweek, Kyle Larson has moved to the top of the National Sprint Car Rankings.

Larson, who has won 14 features in 33 starts, surpassed Brad Sweet at the top of the rankings.

Larson has a 4.152 average finish, while Sweet, who struggled through a three-race World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series weekend, boasts an average finish of 4.577.

Ollie’s Bargain Outlet All Star Circuit of Champions point leader Aaron Reutzel, Donny Schatz and Logan Schuchart round out the national top five.

Thirty-six drivers have now made the mandatory 20 starts to be eligible for the National Sprint Car Rankings.

Freddie Rahmer, who ranks seventh nationally and picked up his fourth win of the season at Pennsylvania’s Lincoln Speedway, continues to lead the Eastern region standings.

Cale Conley won the Lou Blaney Memorial Saturday night at Ohio’s Sharon Speedway and moved to the top of the standings in the Great Lakes region.

Sweet leads the Great Plains region and Larson tops the Mid-America quadrant.

Brandon Spithaler retained the lead in the Ohio-Pennsylvania sector, with Dominic Scelzi topping the Western region.

Fifty-five drivers have won the 121 features contested this season.
