Jackson Win Keeps Sweet Atop National 410 Rankings

CONCORD, N.C. — On the strength of a dominant victory in the Jackson Nationals, Brad Sweet remains at the top of the National 410 Sprint Car Rankings.

Sweet, who banked $41,000 for winning the Jackson (Minn.) Motorplex signature event, won two of his three starts this week.

The World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series point leader has an average finish of 4.912 in 34 starts this season.

Ten-Time WoO champion Donny Schatz ranks second nationally with a 5.882 average finish. Pennsylvania’s Danny Dietrich and Outlaws Daryn Pittman and David Gravel round out the top five.

Dietrich leads the Eastern region on the strength of 10 victories, while other regional leaders are Buddy Kofoid (Great Lakes), Billy Balog (Great Plains), Dominic Scelzi (West), Paul Nienhiser (Mid America) and A.J. Flick (Ohio-PA).

The season has been hampered by rain and drivers in most regions have yet to run enough races to qualify for the national rankings.

Eighty drivers have combined to win 161 features run through June 30.

Dietrich leads the way with 10 victories. Sweet is second with eight victories.
