Haudenschild Outduels McFadden At Premier Speedway

Sheldon Haudenschild emerged victorious on night two of the Grand Annual Sprint Car Classic at Premier Speedway, Warrnambool.

In a fast-run finale, Haudenschild raced under James McFadden to claim the $10,000 winner’s check in an exciting A main. The American had just a 1.34 second margin at the checkered flag.

Third was taken by Carson Macedo, ahead of Luke Dillon, Justin Peck and Lachlan McHugh.

Early casualties from the 30-lap final included Jock Goodyer. Marcus Dumesny’s race also ended with four circuits remaining. Driving the Lee Contracting entry, the Ohio driver indicated that he is determined to make amends for last year’s narrow defeat.

The track again favored the front runners. Dillon had started from pole with McFadden on his outside. Callum Williamson and Justin Peck, along with Haudenschild and Dumesny, filled the next two rows.

Jock Goodyer was the fastest in the time trials, recording a 10.962 second lap.
