GIBSONTON, Fla. — Sam Hafertepe Jr. claimed the Ronald Laney King of the 360s championship feature for the second consecutive year Saturday night East Bay Raceway Park.
Hafertepe raced from 11th on the grid on the third-mile dirt track to win the prestigious event for winged 360 sprint cars that wrapped up the Winternationals.
Hafertepe took the checkered flag in the 40-lap event ahead of Ohio driver Max Stambaugh, who charged from 14th on the grid.
Terry McCarl, Aaron Reutzel and Ryan Timms rounded out the top five.
