Gravel Holds Firm Atop National Rankings For Third Straight Week

The top spot in the National Sprint Car Rankings changed hands for the third consecutive week, with David Gravel moving to the top of the list.

Gravel holds a 3.466 average finish in 73 410 winged sprint car races this season, placing him narrowly ahead of Rico Abreu, who jumped from fourth to second with an average finish of 3.589 in 66 races. Abreu earned his 12th victory of the season in the High Limit Racing Series event at Bridgeport (N.J.) Speedway.

Last week’s leader, Brad Sweet, fell to third in the rankings with a 3.596 average finish.

Brent Marks and Carson Macedo round out the top five.

One hundred and 63 drivers have made the 20 starts required to be eligible for the rankings and 902 racers have run a winged 410 sprint car race this season.

Freddie Rahmer holds the top spot in the Eastern region, while Joe B. Miller leads the Mid-America region.

Cap Henry heads the Great Lakes region, with Mark Dobmeier on top of the Great Plains region.

Corey Day paces the Western, with Trey Starks on top in the Northwest region. A.J. Flick anchors the PA-Ohio region.

One hundred and 54 drivers have combined to win the 457 features run this season. 

Rahmer leads the country with 17 victories.
