HANFORD, Calif. — Tanner Holmes returned to the West Coast and won a wild Kings of Thunder 360 sprint car race over Cole Macedo at Peter Murphy’s King’s Speedway on Friday night.Â
Holmes, who started fifth, was in a tight battle with Macedo late in the race as the two entered the fourth turn. Holmes took to the inside while Macedo got high into the cushion, losing control and smacking the outside concrete wall.
Holmes went on to his first series victory.
Dominic Scelzi finished second, with D.J. Netto, Chase Johnson and Kaleb Montgomery rounding out the top five.
