Ball Shifting To True Outlaw Schedule

KNOXVILLE, Iowa – Jamie Ball is shifting direction this summer, as White Lightning Motorsports will run a pick-and-choose schedule for the remainder of the season.

“We’re going to go with a true outlaw schedule and run where we see fit that week,” he said. “We’ll take it one week at a time and pick the races that best suit us.

“We’ve truly enjoyed our time racing with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour throughout the last year and a half. We’ve learned a lot and got a lot of benefits as a team and as a driver. We look forward to running with them in the future when our schedule allows.”

Ball is planning on competing in more 410ci winged sprint car shows this season after starting the year with the ASCS National Tour.

“We’re looking to do more 410 racing and we’ve talked about some of the bigger shows like the Jackson Nationals, Kings Royal and Tuscarora 50,” he said. “When the ASCS National Tour goes out west it’s tough for our business – L & J Enterprise – as well as my real estate career and spending time with my family. We really can’t afford to be away as much as we were last year.”

Ball is scheduled to compete with the Sprint Invaders this Thursday at Eldon Raceway in Eldon, Iowa, before tackling races at Knoxville Raceway on Friday and Saturday.

He will race with the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series on Friday and will be in his 360ci sprint car on Saturday.
