Larson Begins Chili Bowl Quest Tuesday In Tulsa

TULSA, Okla. — Kyle Larson begins his quest for a third-straight Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Nationals victory during Warren CAT Qualifying Night Tuesday at Tulsa Expo Raceway.

Larson, who has seven Chili Bowl preliminary night feature wins, will go for his eighth aboard his Kyle Larson Racing No. 01. The reigning NASCAR Cup Series champion will have plenty of competition along the way.

Reigning USAC NOS Energy Drink National Midget Series champion Buddy Kofoid will attempt to earn his first qualifying feature triumph with Keith Kunz Motorsports.

World of Outlaws star Donny Schatz returns to the Chili Bowl in an entry fielded by Spike Chassis owner Mark Cooper and Mike Curb of Curb/Agajanian Racing. Tim McCreadie, the surprise winner of the 2006 Chili Bowl and the reigning Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series champion, is also among the Tuesday entries. He’ll drive for Daugherty Motorsports.

Chris Windom will wheel the No. 89 midget from Chad Boat’s CB Industries stable, Zeb Wise represents the Matt Wood Racing squad and Thomas Meseraull will pilot an RMS Racing entry. Jonathan Beason, who swept the midget portion of the Gateway Dirt Nationals, will be aboard a Cantor Motorsports entry.

Other notable entrants on Tuesday include Derek Hagar, Hunter Schuerenberg, Jake Swanson, Zach Daum, Roger Crockett, Travis Braden, Alex Bright, Briggs Danner, Sam Hafertpe Jr., Mike Hess and Jake Neuman.
