PERRIS, Calif. — Charles Davis Jr. raced from ninth starting position and led only the final lap to win Saturday’s California Racers Hall of Fame Night feature for the AMSOIL USAC-CRA Sprint Car Series at Perris Auto Speedway.
Davis passed Damion Gardner, who led three times, including laps 25-29, on the half-mile oval to steal the victory.
Matt Mitchell finished third, with Austin Williams and polesitter Eddie Tafoya Jr. rounding out the top five.
Matt McCarthy was the fast qualifier for the 21-car field.
