INDIANAPOLIS – Already a winner in the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course, 2021 Verizon 200 at the Brickyard NASCAR Cup Series winner A.J. Allmendinger was the fastest qualifier in Saturday morning’s qualifications for the Pennzoil 150 presented by Advance Auto Parts.

Allmendinger won the Pole Award for the Pennzoil 150 presented by Advance Auto Parts with a lap of 94.428 seconds for a speed of 92.985 mph in the No. 10 LeafHome Water Solutions Chevrolet for Kaulig Racing.
This is the 11th pole in 98 NASCAR Xfinity Series starts for Allmendinger, a NASCAR Cup Series star who also competed in the 2013 Indianapolis 500 for Team Penske.
This is his third pole and fourth top-10 start in 2023 and his third pole in four races at The Indianapolis Motor Speedway Road Course.
Ty Gibbs was second and posted his sixth top-10 start of 2023 and his third in three races at Indianapolis Motor Speedway Road Course. He ran a fast lap at 92.935 mph in the He Gets Us Toyota. Josh Berry (third) posted his second top-10 start at Indianapolis Motor Speedway Road Course. It is his 11th in 22 races this season. Berry’s best lap was 92.342 mph in the Jarrett Logistics Systems Chevrolet.
Austin Hill qualified fourth in the Bennett Transportation Chevrolet at 92.224 mph with Daniel Hemric rounding out the top five at 91.937 mph in the No. 11 Cirkul Chevrolet.
Saturday’s Pennzoil 150 NASCAR Xfinity Series race takes the green flag at 5:30 p.m. on USA Network.
