SALT LAKE CITY – Spacestation Gaming has partnered with NASCAR Xfinity Series driver Will Rodgers to launch a new eRacing operation.

As part of the partnership, Rodgers will race under the Spacestation Gaming banner, with a Spacestation Gaming-themed paint scheme onboard the No. 55 Chevrolet.

Rodgers will compete in this week’s Saturday Night Thunder eNASCAR event, as well as future qualifiers for the eNASCAR iRacing Pro Invitational Series that includes stars like Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Jimmie Johnson, as well as winners Denny Hamlin and Timmy Hill.

First coming into prominence when he finished second to NASCAR Cup Series star Kevin Harvick in a NASCAR K&N Pro Series West (now ARCA Menards Series West) race at Sonoma (Calif.) Raceway in 2017, Rodgers has since stepped up to NASCAR’s national levels and participated in several Xfinity Series races with Brandonbilt Motorsports.

In addition to Rodgers’ eNASCAR participation, he and Spacestation Gaming also plan to expand their new team into the eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series in the future as well.

“I’m excited to be partnering with Spacestation Gaming and starting a new eNASCAR team,” said Rodgers. “With all of Spacestation’s successs in other gaming platforms, I know we will build a winning combination on and off the track.”

Spacestation Gaming is a world-class eSports organization based out of Utah, which rosters the current world champion Rainbow Six team and won $1 million in February.

Spacestation Gaming’s Rocket League RLCS team recently placed first in the North American regular season and was fourth at last year’s world championship.

The company recently partnered with Hot Wheels, in collaboration with YouTuber Tanner Fox, to launch a Hot Wheels car in most major North American retailers.

“Traditional sports and eSports can be incredibly similar, and eNASCAR proves that perfectly,” said Spacestation Gaming owner and founder Shaun McBride. “Spacestation Gaming is excited to help build this new community and be longterm supporters of this rapidly growing scene.”

“This partnership is exciting coming into this scene as an eSports organization fan base with a legacy brand and fan base like NASCAR,” added Spacestation Gaming managing member Sean Holladay. “Showcasing eSports to a more mainstream audience and educating NASCAR fans is something we are really looking forward to.”
