CONCORD, N.C. — It’s wild to think about how the journalism game has changed in the 35 years since I started at my local newspaper in Tiffin, Ohio, and 33 years ago with SPEED SPORT.
For the most part, newspapers are a thing of the past. The changing needs of readers and advertisers, combined with the elevated costs of producing, printing and distributing newspapers and magazines, forced SPEED SPORT to cease publication of a printed product at the end of 2022.
In an effort to continue to entertain loyal readers and employ the valued contributors who made SPEED SPORT and SprintCar & Midget Magazines so popular, we created the SPEED SPORT Insider in 2023.
Now, we are doubling down on the effort by introducing a new website specifically for the Insider and its readers.
