MAQUOKETA, Iowa — Bobby Pierce banked $10,000 for winning Friday night’s Nippy 50 dirt late model race at Maquoketa Speedway.
Pierce started fourth and grabbed the lead from Brian Shirley on lap 17.
He led the remainder of the 50-lap event to earn his eighth victory of the season.
Ryan Gustin finished second, with Shirley, Garrett Alberson and Brandon Sheppard completing the top five.
Shirley was the fast qualifier for the 26-car field with a 13.382-second lap.
