Davenport Ends Drought, Banks 50 Grand

ELLISVILLE, Fla. — Jonathan Davenport finally got his first victory of the season on Saturday night at All-Tech Raceway, and it was a big one.

Davenport led all 50 laps of the Florida Dirt Nationals feature sanctioned by the XR Super Series to bank the $50,000 top prize aboard his familiar No. 49 late model.

Davenport was the fast qualifier with a lap of 17.938 seconds and started outside the front row. Despite several yellow flags along the way, Davenport took the checkered flag nearly four seconds ahead of Kyle Strickler.

It was the second consecutive runner-up effort for Strickler.

Brandon Overton came home third, with Ashton Winger and Shane Clanton rounding out the top five.
