Sanders Uses Last-Lap Pass To Score At Skagit

Justin Sanders may have only led one lap on Friday night at Washington’s Skagit Speedway, but it was the lap that mattered most.

After picking up the win in his heat race, the 360 sprint car ace put on a late charge in the A-main. Coming out of turn four on the last lap, Sanders rocketed past Jason Solwold, who had led 16 laps at the three-tenths-mile dirt oval, to steal the lead and the $5,000 winner’s check.

Solwold held on for second. Fast qualifier Trey Starks, Seth Bergman and early race leader Willie Croft completed the top five.
