STOCKTON, Calif. — Nikko Panella held off Mitchel Moles to triumph in the Super 600 portion of Hoosier Tire Dual opening night at Delta Speedway on Saturday.
Panella led all 30 laps from the pole at the one-seventh-mile clay oval.
Moles started second and tried overtaking Panella numerous times via slide jobs throughout the main event, but Panella protected the bottom to maintain control
Fast-time recipient Cody Key completed the podium. Raio Salmon and Caden Sarale rounded out the top five.Â
Mattix Salmon, Caeden Steele, James Andrichuk, Logan Trevino and Gauge Garcia finished the top 10.
2018 Non-Winged champion T.J. Smith earned his third win of the season in the division.
Jeff Barnes won the 25-lap restricted main event.
Hayden Stepps led all 20 laps for her third Jr. Sprints feature of the season.
The Hoosier Tire Dual wraps up Sunday at the San Joaquin County Fairgrounds and will crown mini series champions with over $22,000 in total prize money.
