Streaking Hirschman Is New Smyrna Star

NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. — Matt Hirschman won his third consecutive Tour-type modified feature on night six of the World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing at New Smyrna Speedway.

Hirschman became the first driver since Reggie Ruggiero in 1986 to win three straight races to start the series.

The victory came in the John Blewett III Memorial 76, with Hirschman beating Patrick Emerling to the checkered flag.

Ronnie Williams, Anthony Nocella and Burt Myers rounded out the top five.

Casey Roderick broke through with his first super late model victory of the week after several top-five runs. Roderick beat William Sawalich to the checkered flag, with Jake Finch third.

Ryan Luza bested Carson Brown to win the Pro Late Model main event. Jason Lester topped the Florida Modified run.
