New River All American Finalizes 20-Race Slate

JACKSONVILLE, N.C. — Twenty races will make up the 2024 season at New River All American Speedway, which will get underway with the Hangover Nationals on New Year’s Day and conclude with the Battle of the Stars in November.

Highlights for the season schedule include the zMAX CARS Tour and Grand National Super Series on March 23, the Southern Ground Pounders Vintage Racing Club on April 27, the SMART Modified Tour and USAC Eastern Midgets on August 30, and the Battle of the Stars on November 16.

A few other touring series races will be announced in the coming weeks.

“2024 is going to be our biggest and best year yet at New River All American Speedway,” track operator Anthony Goodyear said. “We’ve got the CARS Tour coming back, the SMART Modified Tour coming for the first time, USAC and the Southern Ground Pounders, and we’re bringing the Battle of the Stars back by popular demand.

“This is the strongest schedule we’ve had since opening and fans are definitely going to want to come each week.”

In the weeks leading up to the schedule announcement, New River All American Speedway has worked closely with Bob Lowery and his staff at Bobby Watson’s Carteret County Speedway to minimize schedule conflicts — allowing competitors to run full seasons at both Crystal Coast tracks.

The track is also working with Wake County Speedway on the alignment of divisions for NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series-sanctioned divisions.

“We’re glad we were able to work with Bob to avoid schedule conflicts and even coordinate some doubleheader weekends,” Goodyear continued. “We’ve also been working with Charlie Hansen at Wake County and Michael Diaz at Southern National as much as we can. If everyone is working together and not against each other, a rising tide lifts all boats.”

New River All American Speedway will remain NASCAR sanctioned in 2024.

Late models, chargers, bombers and champ karts will return to the schedule regularly, while the recently relaunched Rumbler division (formerly U-CAR) and mini stocks will also race regularly. Legends and Bandoleros will race more frequently during the season under INEX sanctioning, and the street stock division will return to the track for a handful of races.

“We know a lot of drivers are moving up from the Bombers to the Rumblers next year, and quite a few new Mini Stocks are being built, so we’re adding those divisions back on the regular rotation,” Goodyear explained. “We’ve also had a lot of interest from the Street Stocks, and we’ve had good turnout from those guys the last few times we ran them, so we’re going to bring them back in 2024 as well.”

The complete schedule for each division will be announced in the weeks ahead.
