Mountain Creek Ups Purse Money For Chad Bush Clash

There has been an increase in purse money for five divisions at Mountain Creek Speedway, as well as the return of the 500cc Open division, for the third annual Chad Bush Clash set for Nov. 18-19.

CTM Custom Cabinets has put up $1,000 in purse money for the micro sprint main event, $300 in the Box Stock division, $200 in the Beginner Box Stock division and $100 for the cadet feature winner.

The 500cc Open division will race for $1,073 in the Yamaha 450 Outlaw feature, with an additional $73 being dealt to the fastest qualifier, courtesy of Mattesen Racing and their manufacturing partners.

The two-day weekend has come to be known as the signature event for the “Cage at the Creek.” This will be the third installment of this charity race to benefit the Cabarrus Healthcare Foundation.

Chad Bush, the winner of the inaugural Chad Bush Clash, was a former driver and fabricator who started the mini modified division at Mountain Creek Speedway and won the track championship before passing from Cancer in May of 2022. Since then, the race has been run in his honor.

“It’s very exciting for the track and the entire event,” said speedway owner and promoter Adam Stewart. “Along with $1,000 to win for the micros, it’s going to be exciting to see the open division return. They have always raced well and put on one of the best shows at our track.”

The two day event will see upwards of 17 divisions of racing take to the speedway.

Racing begins Saturday, Nov. 18, with flat karts and mini modifieds and concludes Sunday, Nov. 19, with outlaw karts and micro sprints at the one-sixth-mile “Cage at the Creek.”

Both days of racing will be streamed live on Dirt2Media.tv.
