Busy Season Ahead For Goodyear All American Speedway

JACKSONVILLE, N.C. – Goodyear All American Speedway is revving up for its first full season of racing with a jam-packed schedule of events.

The upcoming season features 19 races, not including the Winter Heat Series, along with the Halloween Havoc Night of Destruction and a handful of other special events to be announced.  Season highlights include the return of the Battle of the Stars in November, the Solid Rock Carriers CARS Tour, Carolina Pro Late Model Series, USAC Eastern Midgets, and the Southern Ground Pounders Vintage Racing Club – among others.

“We had a great season this past year and we’re looking forward to an action-packed season in 2022 at Goodyear All American Speedway,” track operator Anthony Goodyear said.  “We’re excited to have the CARS Tour come to Goodyear All American Speedway for the first time.  We’ve also got the Battle of the Stars returning for a second time in 2022.”

The championship season will begin on Saturday, March 5 and run through Saturday, Sept. 17 – with every division’s champion being crowned on the same night. Racing will then continue in October and November.

Other highlights throughout the season include the HetuStrong Race Against Cancer on March 26 being run in memory of longtime speedway competitor Ronnie Hetu, as well as the second running of the All American Showdown on July 30 commemorating the one year anniversary of the inaugural race in the Goodyear All American Speedway era.

The new year will see the Bandolero division return to Goodyear All American Speedway, as well as the Charger division which only got to race once in 2021 after two other races for the class were rained out.  A Powder Puff division will also run a handful of races with a points system being put in place for the ladies as well.  Late Models, Street Stocks, Mini Stocks, U-CARs, Legends, Champ Karts and Bombers will all return.

Most races will also feature the Goodyear All American Speedway original Spectator Drag Races as the nightcap.

Races at Goodyear All American Speedway will have standardized start times and schedules – with races either starting at 2 p.m., 6 pm., or 8 p.m. Each division will also have standardized lap counts.  Additionally, Goodyear All American Speedway will have more open practice dates throughout the year.

The next race at Goodyear All American Speedway will take place on Saturday, Jan. 1 with the Hangover 150.
