Chisolm Keeps Rolling At Deer Creek

SPRING VALLEY, Minn. — Some of the best USRA B-Mod racers in America continue to take their shots at dethroning Jim Chisholm as the master of the Deer Creek Speedway, but just like Bruce Lee in the Enter The Dragon, the 18-year-old from Osage, Iowa, continues to knock out every challenger.

He did it again Friday night, tracking down two-time USRA B-Mod national champion Kris Jackson in the late stages of the 25-lap main event and capturing his second checkered flag of the weekend at the 23rd Annual Featherlite Fall Jamboree.

If he can do it again Saturday, it will be his eighth consecutive triumph in the event and third clean sweep in a row.

Jackson, who finished 10th on Thursday night after coming from dead last in his “B” feature and 28th in the “A” feature. Friday night found the Lebanon, Mo., racer on the inside of the second row and leading the main event by lap 11.

But as the laps wound down and lapped traffic in play, suddenly Chisholm had Jackson in his crosshairs and squirted into the lead with two laps to go. The defending USRA B-Mod national champ cruised the rest of the way for the win.

Ben Moudry, who finished second one night ago, was third to see the finish line with Zach Brom and Alex Schubbe in fourth and fifth.

Sixth through tenth were Brandon Hare, Troy Hovey, Colby Mann, Jimmy Broszeit and 21st-starting Dustin Kruse.
