Warner Romps To Fonda Score

FONDA, N.Y. — Rocky Warner grabbed his second modified victory of the season Saturday night at Fonda Speedway, holding off Ronnie Johnson in the 30-lap main event.

Warner grabbed the lead from Adam McAuliffe on lap 22 and led the remainder of the event for his eighth career victory at Fonda.

Johnson, Stewart Friesen, Jack Lehner and Mike Mahaney rounded out the top five.

Johnson, however, banked $5,600 for just 10 laps work in topping the Bill Ag Memorial Match Races.

Cody Clark earned his second crate sportsman victory of the campaign and Jim Normoyle topped the pro stock feature.

Carter Gibbons won the limited sportsman feature and Slappy White topped the four-cylinder run.
