Walker Claims Thunder Mountain Mods

CENTER LISLE, N.Y. — Shaun Walker claimed Saturday night’s 35-lap modified feature at Thunder Mountain Speedway.

Walker took the lead on a lap-15 restart and led the remainder of the distance, holding off Alan Barker for the victory. Nick Nye finished third, ahead of Eric Leet and Bailey Boyd.

Lance Willix took the lead from Shayne Spoonhower at the start of the DIRTcar 358 Modified feature and was never headed in the third straight caution-free affair for the division.  Matt Meade made a strong run at leader Willix in the first half of the event, but Willix had a stronger car and pulled away in the final 10 laps to take his first win of the year.

Meade outran Tom Collins Jr. for the second spot with Jordan McCreadie taking fourth and Colton Wilson finishing fifth.

Kinser Hill topped the crate sportsman feature and Ali Scutt claimed the 600 cc modified main event.
Damon Decker won the street stock headliner and Josh Towner topped the factory stock feature. Johnathan Fowlston claimed the budget sportsman main event with Evan O’Hara ruling the junior slingshot action.
