CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. — The 70th season of auto racing rolled on Saturday at Land of Legends Raceway with James Sweeting getting his first big-block modified victory.
Sweeting drove the No. 11j modified to a $2,000 triumph in the 30-lap main event, beating Justin Haers to the checkered flag.
Alex Payne, Danny Johnson and Kyle Coffey rounded out the top five.
Zach Sobotka claimed the sportsman modified main event and Dalton Herrick topped the 305 sprint car feature.
Jimmy Grant aced the street stock test.
