Rain Stops Racing Action At Utica-Rome

VERNON, N.Y. – Persistent rain showers put a halt to racing on Friday night at Utica-Rome Speedway.

After three attempts to beat the weather and run in the track surface, speedway management canceled the program at approximately 7:45 p.m. with a healthy congregation of race cars in the pit area. Rain continued throughout the night.

All rain check tickets and wristbands can be used as a credit for the remainder of the season.

The action continues at Utica-Rome Speedway next Friday, June 25 when A-Verdi Storage Containers presents the first appearance by the CRSA Sprint Cars plus a full program of Sunoco Modifieds ($3,500 to win – 900th event in track history), Worthington Industries Crate 602 Sportsman, Fastline Performance Limited Sportsman, Next Generation Grafix Pro Stocks and Cool Stuff Antiques Four Cylinders.

Adult admission is $14. Seniors (ages 65 and up) pay $12. Kids 11 and under are free.

Pit admission is $35 for non-members and $30 for Utica-Rome members.
