Lanphear Thrills For Thunder Road Glory

 BARRE, Vt. – Brandon Lanphear took the lead with three laps to go and scored a thrilling win Friday night at Thunder Road Speedbowl.

Lanphear raced by Chris Roberts and Brendan Moodie on lap 48 of 50 for his first late model triumph. In doing so, Lanphear became the division’s third first-time winner in the last four points races.

Moodie and Roberts held on to second and third, respectively. Marcel J. Gravel and Phil Scott finished in the top five of the 19-car field.

Jason Pelkley picked up his second win of the year in the flying tigers division, while Kaiden Fisher notched his third street stock win of the year.

Mark Beaulieu won the 20-lap road warrior main event and Christopher Pelkey beat Kaiden Fisher to win the street stock feature.

Thunder Road returns Friday, Sept. 17, with its championship night.
