BRADFORD, Vt. — Justin Sheridan continued the streak of different winners in 2024 for the Xtreme DIRTcar Midget Association by taking down the checkered at Bear Ridge Speedway on Saturday night.
John Forlano led the first lap before yielding to Sheridan on lap 2. Manny Dias took second from Forlano on the fourth lap and set his sights on Sheridan. Behind the top two, Forlano, Chris Murray, Keith Brown and Ethan Durocher battled for positions third through sixth. Murray eventually got by Forlano, as did Durocher.
Dias pulled alongside Sheridan at times, but Sheridan was too strong and held on for the win. Dias came home second. Murray continued to rebound from an opening-night mechanical issue to finish third. The defending DMA champion Murray now has three straight podium finishes.
Forlano finished in fifth for the second straight race and Anthony Marvuglio moved from the fifth row to challenge Ethan Durocher for fifth at one point but faded back to finish ninth.
Heat winners were Keith Brown and Manny Dias.
