BREWERTON, N.Y. — Zachary Payne was an unexpected winner in Friday night’s big-block modified feature at Brewerton Speedway.
Payne started third and held off seventh-starter Tom Sears Jr. to win the 35-lap main event at the quarter-mile oval.
Larry Wight, Chris Hile and Max McLaughlin rounded out the top five.
Brandon Carvey claimed the 25-lap DIRTcar sportsman main event, while Justin Williams topped the mod lite feature.
Chris Bonoffski aced the four-cylinder super stock main event.
