Hall Hauls To Speedway 660 Pro Stock Victory

GEARY, New Brunswick – Cory Hall conserved his race car for a final 25-lap sprint to the finish and triumphed in the RE/MAX East Coast Elite Realty Pro Stock 125 Sunday afternoon at Speedway 660.

Hall, who started on the front row of the 125-lap feature, wasted little time establishing himself and the No. 83 G&S Racing Pro Stock as the combination to beat on the afternoon. Hall had his King Racing stablemate Austin MacDonald shadowing him for most of the event until Hall pulled away after the final restart with 25 laps remaining in the race.

MacDonald would find himself in a battle with two-time Pro Stock 250 champion Ashton Tucker with Tucker nipping the No. 13 for the runner-up spot at the end by a nose. Ryan Messer and Dave O’Blenis completed the top five in the 16-car Pro Stock field.

Hall and Dustin Tucker won the qualifying heat races for the feature event on the afternoon. Four cautions slowed the event, the final two of those coming as competition cautions on lap 60 and lap 100.

B.J. Gillespie established himself as the top Sharp Shooter in the Fredericton Gun Shop Sharp Shooter 50. Gillespie was challenged in the late laps by Darren Wilcox as the two weaved through lapped traffic within the 27-car field. Matt Martin was third in the competitive Four Cylinder field on Sunday with Daniel Atyeo and Tristin Harris rounding out the top five.

Atyeo, Gillespie and Randy Storey won the heat races for the Fredericton Gun Shop Sharp Shooters 50.

Joe Hoyt scored the victory in the Atlantic Modified Tour Kamizo Transport 35 over Travis Conroy and Yves McCray.Â
