FONDA, N.Y. – Stewart Friesen made a late-race pass of Adam McAuliffe to win for the third time this season in Sunoco Modified action at Fonda Speedway Saturday night.
Friesen got around McAuliffe on lap 20 of the 30-lapper and pulled away over the remaining distance for his 71st career win at the half-mile dirt oval.
Rocky Warner, Michael Maresca, Dave Constantino filled out the top five.
McAuliffe, George Foley and David Schilling won their respective heat races.
Other feature winners Saturday night included Jason Reome (Crate 602 Sportsman), marking his first win at Fonda; Josh Coonradt (Pro Stock), his sixth career Fonda win and first of the year; Taylor LaPlante, his first career Fonda victory; and Ken Hollenback (Four Cylinder), his third win of the year and the 58th of his career at Fonda.
Slappy White topped the DOHC sub-division in the Four Cylinder main event for his third career Fonda win, all of which have come this season.
