FONDA, N.Y. — Stewart Friesen banked $4,000 for winning Saturday night’s Thunder on the Thruway modified feature at Fonda Speedway.
It was Friesen’s second triumph of the season at Fonda.
Friesen took the lead from Bobby Varin on lap 10 and led the remainder of the 35-lap main event.
Varin finished second with Mike Mahaney, Craig Hanson and Ronnie Johnson rounding out the top five.
Jason Greco topped the crate sportsman feature.
Other winners were Nick Stone (pro stock), Kyle Dingman (limited sportsman), Ken Hollenback and Slappy White in four-cylinder action, John Flach (vintage modifieds), Curtis Condon (vintage late model), Stephen Denton (vintage sportsman) and Bryan Scofield (antique).
