BARRE, Vt. — Stephen Donahue earned his Times Argus Midseason Championship for late models Thursday night at Thunder Road Int’l Speedbowl.
Donahue jumped to the outside of Sweet and grabbed the lead with five laps remaining in the 75-lap event on the legendary quarter-mile race track.
Sweet finished second, with Scott Dragon, Marcel Gravel and Kaiden Fisher completing the top five.
Adam Maynard toped Matt Ballard in the Flying Tiger division.
Josh Lovely won the street stock 35-lap feature and Benjamin Bushey came home first in the Road Warrior class.
