FONDA, N.Y. — Matt Delorenzo held off Stewart Friesen to win Saturday night’s Sunoco Modified feature at Fonda Speedway.
Delorenzo took the lead from Rocky Warner on lap 13 and led the remainder of the 30-lap event for the victory, the 38th of his career at Fonda.
Friesen came on strong at the end to finish second, with Warner, Ronnie Johnson and Jessica Friesen rounding out the top five.
Chad Edwards won the 25-lap crate 602 sportsman feature. It was his second victory of the season.
Nick Stone topped the pro stock main event and Lance Hill won the limited sportsman feature. Ken Hollenback was best in the four-cylinder class.
