Big Diamond To Host Two 410 Races

POTTSVILLE, Pa. – Big Diamond Speedway will host two 410 sprint car races next year on Tuesday, June 7 and Friday, Aug. 12, the track announced Thursday evening.

Both events will pay $5,000 winner’s shares and $500 to start.

Winged 410 sprint cars returned to the three-eighths-mile clay oval for the first time since 2013 this past summer when it raced the Friday night before the Knoxville Nationals.

Now it adds another 410 race as part of the Champion Racing Oil / Hoseheads.com Central Pennsylvania Sprint Car Series, which is expected to eclipse 100 races in 2022 across at least 10 dirt-tracks in and around south-central Pennsylvania.

Cory Haas won the 410 sprint car race over the summer ahead of Mark Smith and Austin Bishop.

The track will be celebrating its 50th anniversary with a festival Saturday, March 26.
