A severe storm that damaged Lucas Oil Speedway has forced the postponement of the Show-Me 100.

WHEATLAND, Mo. – A storm and possible tornado has done major damage to Lucas Oil Speedway, forcing officials to postpone the Show-Me 100.

Multiple media outlets in the region have shared videos and images of the damage, including destroyed grandstands, flipped trailers and campers and damaged fencing around the facility that includes a dirt oval and dirt off-road course.

As a result of the damage sustained during the storm, track and Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series officials have decided to postpone the Lucas Oil Show-Me 100 presented by ProtectTheHarvest.com that was scheduled for this weekend.

Track and series officials are evaluating the make-up weekend for the event. Any updates will be posted Tuesday, May 28.

Officials reported that seven people were injured as a result of the storm at Lucas Oil Speedway, with four being taken to local medical facilities for treatment according to FOX4KC.com.
