LINCOLN, Ill. – Garrett Duff took top honors in the 305 sprint car division to headline a busy night of racing at Lincoln Speedway Friday evening.
Duff took the lead from the pole position during the 18-lap 305 sprint car feature. Behind him, Robbie Standridge was running the top of the track mounting a challenge for the top spot. Down the stretch, plenty of side-by-side action was taking place, but Duff was too tough and held on for the victory. Standridge, Max Pozsgai, Jeff Wilke, and Tyler Duff completed the top five.
Due to a strong turnout and exciting action, the 305 sprint cars have been invited back to race again on Friday, June 26.
In the DIRTcar modified feature, Bryan Lynn led the first six laps before looping his No. 14 off turn four, handling the lead to Ray Bollinger. Bollinger had his game face on, initially holding off challenges from Brian Diveley before Austin Lynn attempted to challenge for the race lead.
Austin Lynn, who started 10th, was unable to get by Bollinger. Bollinger held on to take the checkered flag ahead of Austin Lynn, followed by Donovan Lodge, Ken Schrader and Diveley.
Brandon Eskew dominated the pro late model feature, taking the lead on the opening lap and never looking back. Jake Little was second, followed by Chris Morefield, Colby Sheppard and Roben Huffman.
In the Nutech Seed DII Midget main event, Will Armitage took the lead on the opening lap and led the rest of the way for his first win at Lincoln Speedway. Dave Baugh finished second, followed by Patrick Ryan, Mark McMahill and Scott Koerner.
Robert Cottom won the 15-lap DIRTcar street stock feature and Dallas Strauch was the winner in the DIRTcar hornet main event.
