Macri Makes The Winning Move At Lincoln

ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. — For as hot as Anthony Macri has been, it’s almost impossible to think his last win was in July of last year.

“We haven’t won since last July, it’s been awhile, and honestly this feels great,” Macri said.

Macri took the green flag for the 30-lap feature form the pole, but his win was anything but easy. The Macri Motorsports driver briefly gave up the lead to Kyle Moody right before the red flag came out.

“I know I have a problem of being reserved and not aggressive enough in lapped traffic and it kind of bit me and Kyle got by me.”

Moody led the field on the restart with Macri in tow.

“I had a good run down the back stretch and got him,” Macri said. “I knew from there I had to run some pretty good laps and negotiate lapped traffic better.” Once Macri retook the lead with 13 laps to go, he never looked back and scored his ninth career win in the pigeon hills.

Macri crossed the line 2.661 seconds ahead of Moody for the win. Danny Dietrich finished third and Devon Borden was fourth. Gerard McIntyre completed the top five.

Ryan Rost won the PA Micro Midget 500cc feature and Chris Ott won the PA Micro Midget 300cc event.
