Lincoln Latest PA Track To Suspend Season

ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. – Due to the restrictions put in place by Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf on non-essential businesses and the ban on large gatherings due to COVID-19, Lincoln Speedway has made the decision to suspend all racing activities for the season until further notice.

With the restrictions still in place and without a solid idea of when large gatherings will be permitted once again, speedway officials came to the conclusion that this was the proper route to take.

“The safety of our fans, track employees and the drivers remains our top priority,” track officials said in the announcement on the track’s official website. “We will continue to monitor the situation and will keep a close eye on recommendations from federal, state, local and public health officials. Those recommendations along with information provided by the CDC will allow us to make the best decision in regards to a return to racing.

“We understand the seriousness of the situation and we thank you for your patience and understanding during this difficult time and look forward to returning to the track and racing as soon as possible.”

Lincoln Speedway is the second track in Pennsylvania this week to suspend racing until further notice. Port Royal Speedway suspended its racing season on Thursday.
