WALL TOWNSHIP, N.J. — Matt Hirschman got his Turkey Derby weekend off to a winning start Friday at Wall Stadium Speedway.
Driving the No. 41 modified, Hirschman captured the Wall Modified 100-lap feature that headlined the card on the opening day of the event.
Hirschman took the lead from Jimmy Blewett on a lap-95 restart and paced the final six laps to claim the triumph.
Blewett finished second, with Adam LaCicero, Steven Reed and Eddie McCarthy completing the top five.
Hirschman was also quickest during practice for Saturday’s Tour-type modified main event.
Other winners on Friday were Brian Romig Jr. (limited late model), Nate Divone (Legend car), Shannon Mongeau (factory stock) and Alonzo Morales (four-cylinder).
